Putting convenience-store distribution onto Kommerce Hub

SHRAS consolidated hundreds of convenience-store distributors, wholesalers and warehouses, serving 50,000+ c-stores, onto a single B2B commerce platform. Modular catalog and OMS, marketplace channels, custom storefronts and manufacturer programs went live region-by-region without a quarterly close ever missing.

The challenge

  • 01

Distributors running on a mix of AS-400 / IBM i green-screen ordering, ageing Magento B2B and dealer portals, with no shared SKU master, no shared customer hierarchy and no shared marketplace gateway.

  • 02

Chain customers (national c-store chains and buying groups) demanding their own buyer integrations and procurement portals, with rolling onboarding deadlines from each new partner.

  • 03

Manufacturer programs and multi-tier rebates being reconciled in spreadsheets at month-end, with rebate leakage and chargeback disputes the result.

  • 04

Bespoke pricing, brand-book and route rules differing region-by-region, enforced manually at the order desk, with a long backlog of distributor-specific feature requests piling up.

  • 05

Warehouse route windows, drop sizes, depot stock and credit terms being applied inconsistently across customers, with 'orderable today' meaning something different at every distributor.

What we did

  • 01

Stood up Kommerce Hub on khub.biz as the single B2B platform for the network, multi-tenant by distributor, multi-tier by customer hierarchy, with regional rollouts that kept legacy ordering live until each region's parallel run cleared.

  • 02

Wired marketplace integrations into Amazon Business, Faire, Mirakl and chain-buyer procurement networks, orders from any channel land in the same OMS with a single SKU master.

  • 03

Modelled manufacturer programs, multi-tier rebates and contract pricing inside the platform, netted into the right invoice line at order entry, with monthly close evidence produced automatically.

  • 04

Built customizable, themed storefronts per distributor brand, landing pages, search, merchandising and bespoke modules per partner, all running off one shared codebase.

  • 05

Integrated PDI Enterprise / Pinnacle for the chain customers using it, plus Verifone Commander and Gilbarco Passport at the c-store POS layer, so reorders driven by sell-through reach the right distributor warehouse, not a generic inbox.

  • 06

Shipped a sales-rep iOS / Android app for outside sales running scan-to-add on case UPC and SLU, last-order recall and deal-stack visualization at the shelf.

  • 07

24×7 managed-services SLA from SHRAS covering platform ops, marketplace onboarding, manufacturer-program updates and roadmap delivery, with quarterly business reviews per distributor.

What changed

  • 01

210+ distributors live on Kommerce Hub, ordering across 50,000+ convenience-store locations with a single SKU master and a single customer hierarchy.

  • 02

12+ marketplace channels wired in, chain-onboarding lead time cut from quarters to weeks, with no failed cut-overs reported during the rollout window.

  • 03

Manufacturer-program reconciliation moved from monthly spreadsheets to in-platform netting, rebate leakage measurably reduced and chargeback disputes resolved at the line, not in arrears.

  • 04

Custom modules and per-distributor themes shipped without forking the codebase, distributor-specific feature backlog cleared inside the first year.

  • 05

Order-to-cash cycle time on the new platform reduced materially, net terms applied consistently, credit holds enforced at order entry and disputes routed before the invoice ever cut.
